Police in York issue appeal amid concerns for woman seen in distress

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a young woman seen in distress in York earlier today.

She was seen at around 1pm on Hob Moor and was walking in the direction of Windsor Garth, towards some new build houses.

A spokeswoman said the woman was described as being around 20 years old, approximately 5ft 6in and of medium build, with blonde hair tied back into a pony tail.

She was wearing a black coat with a hood with fur trim, black trousers and carrying a black handbag over her shoulder.

The spokeswoman said: “Police are concerned for her safety and are requesting anyone who has seen a woman matching this description, who is seen to be unsteady on her feet or in distress to contact them.”
