Up to 1,350 build to rent apartments could be built in Leeds as part of planned regeneration scheme
The build-to-rent (BTR) developer and operator, PLATFORM_, has submitted a planning application to Leeds City Council to create a 1.3m sq ft mixed-use development on Sweet Street.
The site is located in the South Bank regeneration area which is extending the city centre to the south.

Hide AdA spokesman said: “Signalling long-term investment in the region, the proposed development, set across eight acres will accelerate the regeneration of the South Bank area, by delivering a thriving, mixed-use quarter on a brownfield site which has been vacant since 2009.
"The masterplan will deliver up to 1,350 BTR apartments, responding to Leeds City Council’s housing strategy 2022-27 and its ‘Best City Ambition initiative.
“The masterplan also includes 200,000 sq ft of commercial space, delivered across two Grade A sustainable office buildings, new leisure and retail opportunities, and the regeneration of the historic pub, The Commercial.”
